Under Charles Edouard Renaud, the Well Done-son Nespresso won the international six-year-old finals at CDI Crozet last summer with a score over 83%, and So Special is his younger half-brother.
Dam Zaralenda also produced a Z2 (3rd/4th) level dressage horse and combines in her pedigree the valuable Grand Prix sport and breeding stallions OO Seven and Ferro. So Special shares the same granddam as the ZZ-Licht (4th) level dressage horse Hester Lenda (s.Charmeur). This direct damline has further produced Small Tour horses such as Duuk (s.Vivaldi), Unsiga (s.Gribaldi), and Empire (s.Tuschinski). Sire Total McLaren, a talented son of Totilas, was selected for the KWPN performance test and performed well in the German Bundeschampionat. Following an injury, he now focuses exclusively on breeding, presenting So Special as a promising son from his second crop.
